CCAA Update 2-2008
The CCAA (China Center of Adoption Affairs) has updated their website with referrals through December 27, 2005. That means that this last month saw a whopping 8 days (although with the entire year of 2007 having an average of only 6.9 days per month, this was actually an improvement). Let's hope that this is at least a small sign of good things to come.

Keep trusting the Lord, Jay and Laura. He is in complete control, even of the delays; and you can be confident that He is working in you what He knows is best for you. His timing is perfect and wise. Though the wait is hard, it is also good, because God is good. He wants you to trust Him. You won't be sorry if you do. He is your keeper (Psalm 121) and He is keeping you, never looking away, not even for a second. Love, Mom
My name is Jay. I am a 37 year old guy, elated to be married to my beautiful bride of 15 years, Laura. We have two sons, Evan and Colin, who are just about the most amazing two boys that anyone, anywhere, has ever known. We have a beautiful daughter named Raina, whom we have recently adopted from China - and quite simply, she has completely lit up our world. I am a bass-playing worship leader at Parkview Christian Church who happens to earn a living as a communications technician in the mighty city of Chicago. I make a very human attempt at following my savior Jesus Christ as closely as I can, so I am therefore very thankful for His grace. He laid down His life in order to purchase mine, and gave me eternal life in exchange for my trust in Him. He has proven Himself faithful to me throughout my life, which is why I hold fast to Him.
