Raina, of Spanish origin, pronounced RAY'-nah... meaning "peaceful, queen". Just thought you might be interested.

What's in a name? There used to be a LOT in a name! People used to be named for what their parents hoped and prayed their destiny would be. People often live out the character that their name means. If that's the case, Raina has a bright future! And as her parents, you can help her develop a peaceful spirit in the atmosphere of your home,(a gentle and quiet spirit which is precious in God's sight) and a 'queenly' acceptance of the person she can be in Christ. So what's in a name? Alot I'd say! Love you... Mom

Saw your post on RQ, saw the name on your blog and went "oooh I LIKE that name!" We've been trying to name our 2nd daughter (we're paperchasing) for over 2 months and I can say that is the FIRST name I've read/seen/heard that I thought "OOOH I LIKE that name" and I like what it means too!

and CONGRATULATIONS on your daughter, she's just beautiful!
